Community Wellbeing
Blonde Peacock was conceptualized while the founder was teaching yoga and art to girls in an orphanage in Santiago de Chile. It was during her time in South America where she found inspiration to turn her art into fashion and continue to give back. Since then, the founder has been involved with numerous community events such as starting an after school art program for teenage refugee girls, through collaboration with IRC, which brought girls from Iraq, Africa, Mexico and South East Asia together to explore art and screen printing while providing a safe space for them to gain confidence and new friendships. BP has also worked side by side with the Downtown Women's Center, MADE, in Los Angeles to offer assistance with their social enterprise that teaches women skills such as creating products and selling them. In October of 2017, BP trekked through the Himalayas of Nepal to help rebuild a school that was destroyed by an earthquake.
